Will admit that cider is not my usual tipple but yesterday I got to sample one of Bulmers new ‘Specials’ range, their ‘Spiced Apple and Rhubard’ Cider. I could taste rhubarb with hints of cinnamon, and it was as the label claimed ‘sweet and tart’.  However the aroma reminded me distinctly of a cough bottle and it just wasnt for me.

Suffice to say I did not finish my glass, though perhaps those more regular cider drinkers out there will appreciate it more.  Bulmers have also released a ‘Spiced Apple and Honey’ cider.  Both come in 500ml bottles but I am unsure of their price at the moment.
